Who I Am:
My name is Mary Inglese and I have always enjoyed fitness and an active life style. I found yoga after experiencing a nagging running injury of which I was finding no relief from. At the time I was a busy mom, wife and nurse and I didn’t have time to let an injury slow me down. Nothing I did seemed to help relieve my discomfort.  A dear friend of mine, who practiced yoga daily, suggested I try yoga and slow down and pay attention to what my body was telling me. To my surprise, yoga was my savior in more ways than one.  Soon my pain lessened and my flexibility, power, and strength improved.  But the greatest benefits I experienced from my yoga practice are the changes that have occurred in my mind and spirit! Yoga has helped me become more mindful of listening to my body and has given me the tools to slow down and live each day being present in the moment and grateful for all that I have and that which surrounds me.
As a registered nurse I see the importance of self-care, disease prevention and healthy living for all ages on a daily basis. Yoga, if practiced regularly, can be one tool to help improve your mind, body and soul.
I attended my 200 HR YTT in 2018 at Empower Yoga in Appleton, WI and I am a registered instructor with Yoga Alliance.  I continue to develop my practice and study all aspects of yoga and use these principles on and off my mat.  I am excited to share my passion for yoga and whether you are a beginner or advanced yogi, my students will experience a variety of safe classes that will leave you feeling inspired and powerful.
I am grateful to be able to share this gift of yoga and health with others!

Class Description:
Most classes will be Vinyasa style yoga where we will coordinate movement with breath to flow from one pose to the next.  The classes are designed to build strength, improve flexibility, relax and calm your nervous system and connect your mind and body.  I will break down the poses and offer verbal cues, demonstrations and hands on assist. I will always offer modifications for poses and have blocks to use for props.

New To Yoga? No worries. I do have some mats you can use until you get your own.  Purchasing your own mat encourages your practice at home and at the studio.  Mats can be purchased at sporting goods stores or online.  If you have any questions about them I will be happy to help.

What To Wear: Comfortable clothing that stretches, like yoga pants or work out wear.  It is encouraged to dress in layers to help adjust to temperature fluctuations.

Arrival Time:  Please arrive 10-15 minutes before class to allow time for check in and purchasing classes.  I will be at the studio 30 minutes or more before each class time.  If you arrive late, there will be a sign on the door noting that the class has begun.  Please honor this and enter quietly without disturbing the class.

Injuries, New To Yoga, or Pregnant: ALL students will have a waiver and questionnaire to fill out before participating in a class.  SAFETY is a top priority and it is important that I know if you are experiencing any injury or medical condition so appropriate modifications can be taken.

Shoes Will Be Left In The Lobby.  There is space to keep your belongings safely in the lobby area to preserve needed space in the class room.  If you need to bring cellphone into the classroom, please make sure it is on silent.

Yoga is not about getting the farthest into a pose or comparing yourself to the person on the next mat. It is about honoring your body ad your practice, letting go of your tension and to do lists, being present and finding balance.
